Virginia May

Virginia May grew up in postwar England, raised by a single mother, and as a young woman went to work in Switzerland to see more of the world. She emigrated to Calgary in the 1970s, studied law and practised as a civil litigator from 1980 to 2007. Matterhorn (2015) recalls her summer working in an isolated Alpine community and was selected for the Banff Mountain Book Festival.
