AUTHOR BIO: Dr. Pal has written over 60 books on Asian art, with a sample of titles including, "Art of the Himalayas: Treasures from Nepal and Tibet" (1992), "The Peaceful Liberators: Jain Art from India" (1999), and "The Arts of Kashmir" (2008). He has written over 200 papers on Asian Art. Dr. Pal is also a 2009 recipient of the Padma Shri Award, which is India's fourth highest civilian honor, for his extraordinary contribution to the sphere of art.
