AUTHOR BIO:  Naoko Matsubara is a Japanese artist born in Tokushima. She graduated from the Kyoto University of Applied Arts in 1960, and went on to pursue a MFA degree at Carnegie Mellon University. She has also aught at he Pratt Institute in Brooklyn. Currently she lives an works in Oakville, Ontario, Canada.
