Cowboy Memoirs: Postcards and Sketches Don Brestler
A moving reflection of times gone by and a way of life studded with toughness, grit, and an unfettered spirit of adventure that is fast coming to an end. One of the last of the ‘real’ cowboys, Don Brestler, now in his seventies – tough and youthful as ever – grew up in southern Alberta in the shadow of the mighty Rockies. He still lives there, painting, sketching and composing songs of the west, and singing as he strums his guitar, sometimes in such hugely public places as the Calgary Stampede. Don Brestler lives with his wife in Twin Butte, Alberta.
