The Bold Testament A Novel by Maurice Yacowar
What if .... Moses were an accident-prone schlemiel who stands waist-high to Charlton Heston? And the infamous Dalila were really a solid, self-sacrificing public servant and a great broad to boot? And the Bible inspired by a Borscht-belt comedian? Here we meet them, not as mythic symbols, but as feeling, thinking human beings. In voices we might recognize from our own experience, they finally give us their side of their story. Maurice Yacowar teaches English and Film Studies at the University of Calgary.
