Buddha declared ignorance to be the cause of suffering, the cause of our bondage within the cycle of birth, old age, and death. Ignorance is the disease that grips those who live in desire and fear, in hope, despair, disgust, and sorrow. But the person whose mind is cleansed, whose selfhood has been reduced to 'nothingness', sees all around a land of wonder, of dreams, of magical acts of which the person is a part, with which the person is one.
Stefan Czernecki has authored numerous books for children. He lives in Vancouver, British Columbia.
